Nord-Troms Museum, dept Burfjord

Nord-Troms Museum is a regional museum for the municipality of Kvænangen, Nordreisa, Skjervøy, Kåfjord, Storfjord and Lyngen.

In Burfjord the museum has offices, room for exhibits and special rooms for treating objects and its main controlled storage.

The permanent exhibit shown in Burfjord is “Stories from the war.” This tells the stories of people of Kvænangen during the 2nd world war, the forced evacuation and loss of homes to German fires and the return after the war was over. 12-14.

Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-14. The museum has opening hours in the summer season together with the local tourist information.
